While in a great many cases families know that they want a complete evaluation, replete with standardized testing, clinical observation, and full reporting of results, often families have concerns about their loved ones, but are not sure what they need.
A consultation is a meeting at which we discuss your concerns and determine the most appropriate course of action.
We can look at a variety of areas, such as Articulation (how speech sounds are used), Language (understanding and using semantics, syntax, vocabulary, pragmatic/social language, etc.), and Executive Function (problem solving, memory, attention, etc.) to determine if your loved one has needs which require further evaluation or is on target for milestones and expected skills.
